The Paper Magician by Charlie N. Holmberg
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This is a good first book for a YA fantasy trilogy based around a female magician, who gets assigned to an apprenticeship with a paper magician, even though she thinks paper magic is the most boring and pathetic type of magic possible. It’s a solid, enjoyable, fast-paced story, set in a fascinating world, with a creative magic system.
