This novel is fast paced with gorgeous verse. It leaves you thinking about all those moments that happen with strangers and nothing ever becomes of them. Yes, things progress quickly, but I love how it captures how many choices, issues, emotions, and relationships can be impacted in only a day.
I love everything by Lisa Schroeder so far. She writes such gorgeous verse. This one is different, because it is in two POVs, which was very interesting. I enjoyed the shifting between characters and perspectives. It delves into the hardships of loss and grief and how to move forward when your whole world stops. I also read this one straight through, because it is hard to put down one of these novels after you start.
