Book Review: Almost Perfect by Brian Katcher

Outstanding. The character development and growth was fascinating. I’m not going to summarize it, because I don’t want to give anything away.

The writing is strong, and even though I’m personally prone to flights of fancy, I appreciate that Katcher always sticks to realism in the relationships he writes.

I listened on audiobook, and I’m a very picky listener who often hates being read out loud to. This was an absolutely fantastic reader though, and I think his reading definitely impacted the way I experienced the story, in the best of all possible ways.

I live within thirty minutes of many of the places in this novel, and I found the setting and characters to be excellent and very accurate for our area (sometimes in the most unfortunate ways but accurate all the same).
